Enjoy hiking through primary and secondary rainforest in one of the most beautiful National Parks of Costa Rica! Corcovado and Osa Peninsula provide habitat for many endemic and globally endangered species.
Day 1: Arrive to Sierpe in the South of Costa Rica by your own, a taxi boat will transfer you to Drake Bay. A magical place where it is believed that Sir Francis Drake hid his treasure somewhere in this beautiful bay. Here you will find lots of marvelous natural treasures, like lush rainforests and colorful marine life. Room and meals included.
Day 2: Early in the morning boat departure to Sirena Biological Station on a 1, 1/2 hour ride. Get ready on the beach at Sirena and hike to the ranger station, drop off overnight bags and equipment and head out on a 3 to 4 hour hike. Enjoy a delicious lunch along the trail in the beautiful forest and later hike back to the range station. Corcovado National Park has one of the richest biodiversity in the world. It protects over 116 species of amphibians/reptiles, 400 species of birds and 139 mammals.
In the afternoon you will hike to the Claro River, have a quick swim there and then hike back to the ranger station to have dinner and rest. Room and meals included.
Day 3: At dawn you will continue the hike in the forest until 6 am, you will later enjoy a delicious breakfast at the ranger station, take a rest and then you will go out again for another 3 hours hike in the forest, then return to the ranger station to have lunch and get things ready to go back to Drake Bay arriving by 2pm. Afternoon at leisure to relax. Room and meals included.
Day 4: After breakfast and check out, you will be transferred back to Sierpe by boat and continue with your vacation on your own.
