DAY 1 - TOWARDS THE JUNGLE
Early transfer from Managua to Matagalpa. On the first day, after traveling to the reserve, we will walk for about 3 hours in the cloud forest to get to know the lovely sanctuary of the giant trees and the impressive Arcoiris Waterfall. Overnight in a hostel in Peñas Blancas.
DAY 2 – CAMPING IN THE JUNGLE
After an intense 5 hour hike to the top of the reserve, we will assemble our camp, in order to live an unforgettable experience in the jungle surrounded by virgin forest and an incredible variety of typical flora and fauna of the cloud forest. Overnight camping in the Jungle.
DAY 3 - A WELL DESERVED BREAK
The third day will start with our way back to the community. After lunch we will go to the La Sombra Ecolodge, a mountain hotel full of tranquility and nature, where you can get to know one of the largest Butterfly gardens in Nicaragua. Accommodation at Hotel La Sombra Ecolodge.
DAY 4 – GOING BACK TO MATAGALPA AND MANAGUA
We will enjoy the fourth and last day with different activities in La Sombra Ecolodge and after lunch we will return to Matagalpa and transfer to Managua.
