Climb the highest mountain of Costa Rica and travel to the beautiful southern Pacific coast to capture all these beautiful places with your camera! SAN JOSÉ-CHIRRIPÓ-UVITA-DRAKE-SAN JOSE

Day 1: Pick up upon arrival at the SJO International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the Central Valley. Room and breakfast included.
Day 2: Morning pick up for a transfer to San Gerardo de Rivas town near the entrance to the Chirripó National Park. This place is your ‘jumping off’ point for the hike. Take the time to explore this magical place. Bathe in the gorgeous hot pools, take a horseback through the mountains or set out with camera and binoculars to catch sight of birds and animals commonly seen in this unspoiled region. Dinner, Room and Breakfast Included.
Day 3: Early morning breakfast. You will be transferred to the entrance point to start hiking by 5:00 a.m. During the ascent you’ll see animals like toucans, trogons and many others that can show up in the cloud forest and moorlands famous for its dwarf vegetation.
Upon arrival to El Paramo Environmental Refuge Center, you will check in and have a delicious lunch. Relax and recover the energy for the rest of the afternoon, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and surroundings. Lunch, Dinner, Room and Breakfast Included.
Day 4: After breakfast, you will trek to the Chirripó Mountain. There are numerous glacial lakes in the area, which is why the Talamanca Indians called this area “Chirripó” that means: "Place of Enchanted Waters." On a clear day you may admire the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean views. Later descend to “Valle de los Conejos”, hike to the Terbi and Crestones hills and afternoon return to the Refuge. Lunch, Dinner, Room and Breakfast Included.
Day 5: After breakfast you will hike all the way back to San Gerardo de Rivas where you will be received with a delicious lunch. Change clothes, relax and continue with your vacation now towards Uvita de Osa.
Uvita is a special place to enjoy a great beach holiday atmosphere. It’s near the Marino Ballena National Park, famous for being the mating place of humpback whales that migrate here each year from July to the end of October and December to March. Another interesting feature of this park is Punta Uvita or commonly called the "Cola de Ballena" for being a natural isthmus made of sand that is accessible when low tide and looks like a whale tail from the sky. Room only included.
Day 6: Day off to explore this beautiful area. There is a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush forest where you can take advantage and capture some great pictures in a natural atmosphere. Or if you decide to remain active you may book a surfing lesson, stand up paddling or kayaking. Room only included.
Day 7: Today the trip to Southern Pacific continues, now to Drake Bay. You will be taken to Sierpe, from there you will take a taxi boat to one of the most beautiful places: Drake Bay! It is named after Sir Francis Drake who is believed to have ventured here in the late 16th century. With scattered hotels and lodges, Drake Bay is the ideal vacation spot for those wishing to relax and escape from it all. Room and meals included.
Day 8: Early morning pick up for a tour to Corcovado National Park. The boat ride takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Along the way you will see beautiful panoramas of the beach, and possibly dolphins and whales. Once there, you will walk approximately 4 hours through trails around the station where is possible to see a lot of flora and fauna. This is probably one of the best places to see mammals in danger of extinction such as the tapir, white-lipped peccaries, monkeys, as well as many other species. Enjoy a delicious lunch and later return to Drake Bay.**This tour operates with a minimum of 4 people** Room and meals included.
Day 9: Morning pick up for a Caño Island snorkeling tour. It takes about 40 min in the boat to get to the Island, on the way it is possible to see dolphins, whales, sea snakes, sea turtles and other species. The guide will accompany you in the snorkeling and will show different marine species that can be observed, these include many species of colorful coral fish, sea stars, eels, turtles, White tip sharks, among many others. Then you will move to San Josecito Beach to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful white sand beach. Afternoon at leisure when return to Drake Bay. **This tour operates with a minimum of 4 people** Room and meals included.
Day 10: Day off to explore the surroundings. There is a wide spread of activities you can enjoy during this day: bird watching, canopy/zip lining, horseback riding and so many more. Room and meals included.
Day 11: Today you will be taken to Drake’s airstrip to take a local flight back to San José. You need to be at the airstrip 1 hour prior your flight time. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel to spend the last night in the country. Room and breakfast Included.
Day 12: Transfer will be provided to SJO International Airport. You need to be there 3 hours before your flight time.

- The terrain is really steep at Chirripó National Park and could take up to 12 hours depending on your physical condition and walking speed. Some experienced climbers can do it in 6 or 7 hours. Thus, the physical effort is high and not recommended for people who are medically restricted.
- Reservations to this National Park are made on a quarter basis for example: on August (reservations for October, November and December) on December (reservations for January, February and March), on March (reservations for April, May and June), on June (reservations for July, August and September), hence we need to book it ahead of time and it’s subject to availability.
- Local flights and transfers allow a maximum luggage weight of 25 pounds (12kg).
